The rain

The Rain
I spent several weeks working on two projects, when I was closer to finishing the first project I received a devastating email, in the email I was told that the project will not go on anymore, it broke my spirit, crushed me to a point that, I crucified myself, regarded myself a failure because I always work very hard only to go back to square one.
I spent the next 4 days not working, thinking on what to do next, if or I should carry on with the next project, but I did eventually bring myself back to the original energy that I always had for my projects. I took on the next projects went on for another 2 presentations, and it was finally given to me but then again came a day before I could sign the contract and same as the first one, it fell through.
Again I was crushed, again I had lost my sanity two times in less than a month, it is the biggest blow a man can ever take. But this time I came home slept and when I woke up I remembered the Chinese proverb, no matter how long the winter spring is sure to follow. And only then I realised that all the greatest achievers have been big dreamers and they never won because they were people’s favourite’s they got what they wanted because they deserved it.
Every morning when I wake up I always ask myself, do I have what it takes to get to my destination, and the answer is, I am taking it one step at a time as the old saying goes Rome was not built on one day. I know that my dreams are bigger and like Rome they can never be achieved in one day.All this falls have taught me something, they have left me with a lesson, no matter how hard it rains, at the end of it I shall grow, because the rain does make thing’s grow.
In the midst of your storm remember that if it wasn’t for this rain, potatoes, sunflower and Millie meal will not be growing. Embrace and endure those storms for it is in them we find great lessons about life. And it is in the midst of them that we grow.
Grow big or go home
